S.M.A.A.R.T.Mom
(Strong Mothers Altering Autism's Reality Together)

An Autism Mini-Moment is just that; a brief video that is amazingly filled with so much ! My son, Dustin in this video is 20 years old. These particular videos I created to show Moms like myself, who are feeling uncertain about their child's future who may have been recently diagnosed. So I'm offering you a glimpse into the future :) I'm offering YOU Video Proof that anything is possible in regards to AUTISM. So Don't Give Up and Keep On Trying! Unconditional Love, Patience , Consistency, & Hard Work will be so worth it! So I hope this little video makes you feel a little bit better Moms or Dads. If this makes you at least SMILE; this Mini Video was well worth creating just for YOU!
Have a Beautiful Day :)
Big Hugs!

A Mom Makes An Autism Double Dare Dream Come True!

S.M.A.A.R.T.Mom
(Strong Mothers Altering Autism's Reality Together)

This year marked a very happy, yet sad occasion for us. I wanted  to give our son, Dustin (autistic) a 20th Birthday Dream I just know I HAD to make come true. A couple of years ago, I took Dustin here with our grand-daughter. Dustin Absolutely "ADORES" Nickelodeon , so to bring him to this Magical Place.....Well, I had just one moment that stuck with me....and that was it, I was a MOM ON A MISSION. No one intended on hurting Dustin's feelings, and he handled  the disappointment well...I mean "No Melt-Down." Anyway,  These things cost money and what I wanted to set up for Dustin, well let's just say it took me a couple of years. So, marking his 20th Birthday I created this "Magical Memory" we had at the Nickelodeon Hotel 2016'. SADLY,....Slime Time is No More :(
They closed it down shortly after we fortunately were able to experience this WONDERFUL PLACE! It has now been transformed into a super hero themed hotel.....However, for us, it won't come close in comparison to this Glorious Nickelodeon Double Dare Day. FYI: I put this video  on DVD for Dustin to watch.... I think he must really like it......He's on his 4th time watching....IN A ROW (LOL)

(OPENING DOORS, OPENING HEARTS, & CREATING SMILES!)
Created and Designed By, S.M.A.A.R.T.Mom Angela (PLEASE NOTE: There is NO PROFIT made from the Decals. The cost of the Decal ONLY covers the making of the Decal itself.) This is not an organization, group, or charity and I AM NOT ASKING FOR DONATIONS. Call me Crazy, but I’d Rather Create Smiles🙂 This decal is simply a “symbol” expressing that YOU are there for families living with autism and autism individuals on a day to day basis. Have you Welcomed Autism Today?
ATTENTION in Regards to Time-Out Events: Autism Families, please know that some of these places may be Loud, Bright, or Even Crowded. The idea is to Feel Welcomed , but at the same time to help our special guys/girls learn to cope and withstand those things while in many public places. So with the help of these WONDERFUL People and Places they have shared their Smiles with the Autism Welcomed Smile. This heart-felt “Symbol” expressing one thing…. ” Autism Families, We know it took Courage to come out today,We Understand, & We’ve Got Your Back!” ) ONE MORE THING🙂 Attn: Individuals with Other Disabilities. Regarding some of the places who are offering Autism Welcomed Events ; Although these are Autism Events, I still would like to let you know that REGARDLESS of YOUR disability…you are more than welcomed to join us. This especially, includes siblings. After all, We All KNOW Challenges first hand, Don’t we?
This Video is from an Autism Welcomed “Can’t Wait To Bowl A Smile !” Time-Out @ Lake City Bowl in LAKE CITY, FLORIDA!
(July 02, 2016″ ) “A Huge Thank You to Angie and Brian; in addition to their Awesome Staff for a Very Memorable Time and especially for giving the Autism Welcomed Decal “symbol” Smile a permanent home ! ”

Grocery Shopping with Autism: Walk in S.M.A.A.R.T.Mom’s Shoes

S.M.A.A.R.T. Mom:
Strong Mothers Altering Autism’s Reality Together
“Mothers Coming Together to Think Outside the Box of Autism Behaviors”
“Grocery Shopping with Autism: Come & Walk in S.M.A.A.R.T.Mom’s Shoes”
Thanks for joining me for a video that I am finally able to mend together. This Video “Time”Out” was initially created in Jan of 2011, however, even though my Dustin (autistic) has just recently turned 20 yrs old presently, I still use the chart to help get me through those dreaded grocery stores with My Dustin🙂
Jan.1, 2011: “I know I’m late getting this out to all of you Strong and Creative Moms; but unfortunately Boo bear has had some issues with ear infections again. But on the other hand I’ve finally found success in the Toilet Training area. No Dustin isn’t fully potty trained. I know most people just assume at 14 yrs old; he is. Well “P” came at the age of 7yrs. old. But the other……well like I said; “I’m 14yrs OVER it!” (LOL) Anyway, if you want to find out how I managed that one….you’ll have to come back and see me for January’s Mommy Time-Out. But for now here’s video where seeing is believing ;watch how S.M.A.A.R.T. Mom gets through the grocery store with Dustin having NO Melt-Downs AND still is able to get everything on her grocery list. Hope this helps you has much has it has helped us.”
Take Care.
